bicycles will get you
to where you are going today
by repetition.
over
and over
and over again
you will watch the brazen, dirt-ridden Winterfresh
rise
and fall
along the operating, tarred tire
rolling down a linear road
as if it were left there
on purpose
to mark something;
the beginning
or the end
of its rotation —
depending on how you look at it.
its presence
along the…

in the spirit of breathing,
i will use my belly today
a balloon filled with warm air
it will lift me —
like a child holding onto too many.

in the spirit of breathing,
i will thank these primative instincts
for protecting me in the wild
but i will let them move onto better things
like digesting
and telling me when to close my eyes
during scary movie scenes.

in the spirit of breathing,
i will fill my body

take us to our ancestor
The Sun —
and it’s burning,
we may not see its rays
but we can feel
gray areas of —
concrete,
and it scorches,
and the ants are dancing
their little dance
to the grains they call home
would you call this home?

more “heat”

it’s trickling down, crashing —
waves
a distraction,
they say it takes two to tango
but it takes more
to call this place a home.
would you call this home?

television particles —
appearing, merging
shaping
like minds
searching, running
moving
like clouds
incoming, leaving
staying
like habits
created, posing as
“survival”
like breathing —
